Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled, reliable Excavator Operator to join our construction team.
The Excavator Operator’s responsibilities include preparing sites for construction, managing heavy equipment, performing regular maintenance on the machinery, and ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.
Candidates should have extensive experience operating large, heavy machinery, possess a keen eye for detail, and always adhere to safe work practices.
Responsibilities
• Operate the excavator and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
• Prepares construction sites by removing debris and possible hazards.
• Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers.
• Ensure that any equipment is in safe operating condition.
• Follow directions of the construction manager or supervisor.
• Report any incidents, accidents or injuries immediately to the supervisor.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
• Proven work experience as an Excavator Operator.
• Experience in operating construction or heavy equipment; may include trucks, front-end loaders, dozers, graders, compactors, and other pieces of ancillary equipment to get the job done.
• Knowledge of safe operation of heavy equipment as well as safety guidelines.
• Ability to work in varying outdoor weather conditions.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Work Environment: Field/Construction site. This position is physically demanding and requires standing, bending, lifting, and operating heavy machinery.
• Reporting Structure: Reports to the Construction Site Manager or Supervisor.• Salary: Salary is based upon candidate experience, certifications, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.• Location: Home-based out of Gray, Georgia, but project locations vary within the state.
